What this site is

wphosts.com is an open record of the WordPress hosting landscape, operated by Seahawk Media. It combines editorial research (taxonomy, ownership, investor records, compiled from public sources) with self-reported data (stack declarations and profile content submitted by verified company representatives). It is an industry reference, not advice: nothing here is investment, legal, or purchasing advice.

Accounts and claims

Claiming a profile requires a work email on the company's own domain. By claiming, you confirm you are authorized to represent that company. A claim covers the whole organization's faces on the site — host, vendor, and brands — as described on the claim page. We remove claims made without authority and may suspend accounts that submit false declarations.

Your content

Stack declarations, notes, and profile edits you submit stay yours; you grant us a license to display them as part of the record, including in aggregated market-share statistics. Keep declarations accurate — the entire value of self-reported market share depends on it. Visibility controls (public, private, hidden) work as labeled at the time you set them.

Editorial content and corrections

Ownership, investor, and structural records are compiled from public sources and locked from vendor editing. We aim for accuracy and cite sources where we have them, but we do not guarantee completeness or correctness. If something about your company is wrong, tell us: ryan@seahawkmedia.com. We review every correction request and fix verified errors promptly. No one can pay to change a ranking, a record, or their position on this site — and no one can pay to keep an accurate record off it.

Acceptable use

Read freely, link freely, cite with attribution. Don't disrupt the service, probe accounts that aren't yours, submit data for companies you don't represent, or hammer the site with automated traffic that degrades it for everyone else.

Liability

The site is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seahawk Media is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the record, for interruptions, or for errors in editorial or self-reported data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
